From the North American Distributor Earnings Statements, it shows that it takes an average time of 6 months to reach the title of Sharer and Believer, and 18 months to reach the title of Builder. From this, it can be assumed that to be promoted from a Sharer or Believer to a Builder, it would take 12 months. If it takes 12 months on average to be promoted from a Sharer or Believer to at least a Builder, then we can assume that half of the Sharers and Believers in 2005 were expected to be promoted. But what I found was that only 18.5% of those expected to be promoted actually were. That means that 81.5% dropped out.
This method of calculating the dropout rate is derived directly from USANA's own numbers. It is no surprise that this drop out percentage has been kept secret by USANA. USANA can debunk this 81.5% drop out claim by simply revealing the true number of distributors that drop out each year, unless the percentage is true.
